UC Davis Global Affairs has awarded two 2026 Peter and Marion London Global Learning Expansion Grants to faculty in the College of Letters and Science to develop or enhance global learning in their courses.
University of California, Davis, researchers have stripped down LSD to the base features responsible for its hallucinogenic and therapeutic effects. In a new study, the researchers whittled away at LSD’s core multi-ring structure and synthesized new, simplified versions of it to probe its functionality.

George R. Mangun, distinguished professor emeritus of psychology, has been named a Royal Society Wolfson Fellow in recognition of his body of research advancing the fields of psychology and neuroscience.
In a study appearing in Science Advances, researchers analyzed genetic samples from individuals who self-identified as South African Colored, a term denoting mixed ancestry. The researchers found that modern populations of this group in the Western and Northern Cape provinces retain majority Khoe-San genetic ancestry, exceeding 48%.
